CHURCH HOMECOMING
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13TH
Faith Baptist Church celebrating 59 years of Being Faithful
To the Church Family at Faith Baptist Church;
What a blessing it has been to be able to serve the Lord these past few weeks at Faith. What a blessing it has been to share a meal with many of you and get to know you and your families. We look forward to getting to know you more and more in the coming weeks. October is going to be a very active and lively month for us at Faith and we look forward to seeing what the Lord does this month.
Before discussing the events of October, I want to talk about a book I have been reading lately called God Shines Forth. This book takes a look at evangelism and examines why many Christians do not live an evangelistic life. The book begins by discussing how Jesus is the perfect embodiment of the Father. When we see Jesus, we see the Father. Because God is missional (seen in sending His Son), so also is Jesus missional. The author argues that the solution to a lack of evangelism is a heart that is encapsulated by the beauty of God.
Our proclamation will only be as much as our adoration is. May we seek to be an evangelistic people not out of religious duty but out of an overflowing affection for God. With October right around the corner, here are a few things we hope to see you at!
